SPORTS FANTASY CAMPS FOR THE SPECIAL NEEDS COMMUNITY
Football Camp
The Woody Hayes Athletic Center
2024 will be our eleventh annual Special Skills Football Invitational, which is a football camp is designed and adapted for individuals with special needs. The goal of the Special Skills Football Invitational is to teach athletes with different abilities the fundamentals of playing the game of football, including tackling, strength and conditioning, and being a quarterback, wide receiver, and lineman.
Coach Day has continued this tradition that Coach Meyer started several years ago, and has once again committed The Ohio State University Football Department, along with its coaches and players to volunteer their time to help at this fun event. Our participants are always extremely excited to have an opportunity to train and play on the same practice field as the Buckeyes.
Since the inception of the Special Skills Football Invitational in 2013, the Ohio Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association has been represented by pairing up with current OSU football players to instruct the football drills and skills training stations.
We are excited to have our fitness partner, Better Than Yesterday Training Facility, lead our fitness station as well as our non-profit partner, Project SLEYA, who will help with other skill stations.
